WorldStrides hosted 44 teachers from the Dallas area on April 17-18, 2009. The HistoryQuest weekend started Friday evening with dinner and a Monte Carlo themed evening of entertainment. Teachers were able to try their hand at different casino games and enjoy networking with peers from their area. Guests stayed in deluxe accommodations at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre, compliments of WorldStrides.
Saturday morning, teachers were treated to a full breakfast at the hotel. Following breakfast, Fred O’Connor, Executive Vice President of WorldStrides, introduced teachers to the educational travel opportunities available when traveling with WorldStrides. Guests also met a teacher who currently travels with WorldStrides and heard about her students’ life-changing experiences. Then, Thomas Jefferson stopped by for a visit and entertained the audience with stories of the founding of our great nation. HistoryQuest concluded with excitement as teachers won prizes from a raffle drawing!
