Students pose with their Congressman on the steps of the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

In the classroom, my students always ask me, ‘Why do I need to know this?’ After our trip with WorldStrides, they understand the ‘why’ and are hungry to learn more. As a teacher, that is the ultimate reward.

WorldStrides is a travel study school independently accredited by all regional accrediting bodies in regions across the country. We maintain both school accreditation, which verifies the high academic quality of our programs, and corporate accreditation, which assures our organization’s commitment to safety, security, and financial stability. Our accrediting bodies include the Northwest Accreditation Commission, AdvancED (the parent organization for the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement), Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Our accredited status allows us to offer professional development and graduate credit opportunities for teachers and the opportunity for students to earn free high school credit.

Professional Development and Graduate Credit
WorldStrides’ accredited status means that teachers are eligible to receive free professional development for leading a WorldStrides program. We will help you identify opportunities that meet your state’s standards, develop your portfolio, and issue a transcript. Teachers may also have the opportunity to earn low-cost graduate credit through various universities. In addition, WorldStrides supports our teachers with a number of curriculum guides and educational resources. WorldStrides is the only educational travel provider that offers such comprehensive benefits to teachers.
