On April 8-9, 2011, WorldStrides hosted educators from the Chicago area at the historic Drake Hotel for a weekend of fun, networking, and information sharing.
Guests arrived at The Drake on Friday and were treated to an evening of fine dining and casino entertainment on the Magnificent Mile. Saturday morning, WorldStrides provided a full breakfast before presenting program opportunities and benefits. Educators participated in a unique lesson plan, led by WorldStrides’ Director of Education, met the official Martha Washington interpreter from Mount Vernon, and received gifts from a raffle prize drawing. Everyone left with a renewed excitement for educational travel and an extended network of teacher contacts in the area!
