San Francisco Welcome Weekend

This past May, educators from the Bay Area came together for an exciting event at the Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco.  WorldStrides welcomed nearly 100 teacher to the WorldStrides family, many of whom were leading their first history or science program in the upcoming year!  With perfect weather on Friday night, Program Leaders and WorldStrides staff members enjoyed a dinner cruise around the bay from the wharf to Alcatraz and Angel Island.  On Saturday, teachers learned promotion techniques and heard tips for success from veteran travelers.  They were also treated to a visit with Alexander Hamilton - an incredible interaction that was a highlight of the weekend for many!  Welcome Weekend was the perfect way to show WorldStrides’ newest family members our appreciation and support for all their hard work in the classroom.
